Will saving the world end up breaking his heart?

When sixteen-year-old peacekeeper apprentice Hofen Heimstatten learns his mentor and father-figure, Journeyman Krellus, has been imprisoned by the warmakers and scheduled for execution, Hofen believes he has what it takes to rescue him. However, he wasn’t expecting to find himself traveling all over Bellisprodus in pursuit of the secret fighting manuals that just might save his world from self-destruction while fleeing from hordes of hostile warmakers.

Reunited with Princess Arlena, he runs not only from the warmakers but also his own feelings for someone he has no right to love but a duty to protect. Not to mention, it’s becoming more and more difficult to keep her alive. And if they win and the world goes back to normal, the odds he could still be romantically involved with a Royal are a million to one.

His duty clear, Hofen intends to overcome all obstacles even though success means he may lose his Princess forever.
